Albion Base to Cecret Lake Hike - Wasatch Wildflowers

The Wasatch Mountains are exploding with wildflowers right now my friends! Seriously, so many wildflowers all displaying a wide variety of colors have adorned the mountains of Little Cottonwood Canyon and Big Cottonwood Canyon! If you want to go out and witness this for yourself! Here is exactly the hike I went on and took all these pictures!  I just really wanted to share this because it truly is a sight to see!

My family and I decided to hike from Albion Basin to Cecret Lake after church on Sunday. We parked in the parking lot by the Albion Grill and took the shuttle to the Cecret trail head but if I were to do it again I wouldn't have waited for the shuttle! I would have hiked the Albion Basin because the flowers there are AMAZING! As we rode up on the shuttle we decided to hike back down to the car because the meadows looked amazing! I'm so happy we hiked through the meadows because WOW! Here is the route I recommend, its 4.9 miles out and back. You can also download the AllTrails App and type in Cecret Lake from Albion Base.

My oldest two have their own cameras, Fujifilm FinePix XP90 , they are waterproof, shock proof and freeze proof! I scored them at Costco last year around Christmas for a great price!

I love seeing my kids pictures and what caught their eye! Their pictures tell a story from their unique perspectives and I love seeing what they create!

Here are 2 pictures from Jack and 2 from Kaylee!

Their cameras take nice pictures!

We had a lot of cloud cover which made for beautiful soft light, my little model let me get a few portrait shots in!

The flowers are plentiful and vibrant! I also really enjoyed the hike to Cecret Lake, the water was crystal clear and it was a lovely place to relax after our hike.

All of these images are from our hike back down to the parking lot of Albion Grill, so glad we didn't take the shuttle back down!

So happy we were able to visit the wildflowers this year!

The Lewis Kids - Utah Children's Photography

I had the pleasure of hanging out with all this adorable! These kiddos were kind enough to introduce me to their new family member, Carbon the Kitten!

So much cute, it might break the internet!

This guy has the best facial expressions! Seriously so fun, he was cracking me up!

This brilliant girl is such a good big sister! She helped make her siblings smile and made sure little Carbon didn't run off! I had a great time chatting with her about school and dance.

This sums up the kids approach to me taking their pictures! Totally uninterested, sweet smile looking right at the camera and the master of silly faces!

Smitten with their kitten!

We ended the night with lollie pops and I do believe this little lady enjoyed hers!

Thanks Lewis kids for hanging out with me and letting me meet your new kitten! Also, thanks Mom and Dad for all your behind the scenes help and for having such awesome kids!
