Alpine Utah Wild Poppies

By Tiffany Detweiler - Friday, June 09, 2017

The kids and I joined the Wasatch Little Explorers Club on their hike in Alpine, UT! We went in search of the infamous Alpine Poppies! After a short hike we came upon a small grove of trees and beautiful wild poppies! I can see why this spot is so popular with the local photographers! If you are looking for a nice spot to picnic or want to just come check out the poppies now is the time!

Location: 1125 N Alpine Blvd, Alpine, UT 84004 (LDS church parking lot) take the dirt road just off to the side of the parking lot. You could drive to the grove using the same road but it is very bumpy! Plus, its an easy walk and nice to be outside! We were cautioned about rattlesnakes but I personally didn't see any, just be mindful of where you step! There are bathrooms at the beginning of the trail head. Not much shade along the road but the grove where the poppies are is shady and pleasant!
