The fact of the matter is, I'm a nerd. Not the traditional definition mind you but rather the modern pop culture definition. I'm rather obsessive about movies and television shows( Psych, The Guild, The IT Crowd), I read heavily from the fantasy genre, I'm very familiar with anime and manga, Batman is my favorite comic book superhero (I'm definitely more of a DC girl then Marvel) and I dream of attending Comic-Con at some point in my life! I make no secret of my nerdy side because its part of what makes me, me. I'm a creative person that thrives on other creatives and the work they produce! It just so happens that most creatives are also nerds themselves!
So don't be surprised when I tweet about "Zombie Bullying PSA's" or go on and on about my excitement/sadness over the final Harry Potter Movie, Its just me being me! I embrace the nerd, however, that's not all there is to me. I, like all of you have many labels (blogger, mother, sister, photographer, wife, bookworm...etc) and different traits that make up my personality. Its what makes each of us so darn unique and the world a much more fascinating place to live in! Who cares about labels and what group you fit into, in the end it really doesn't matter, I think Dr. Seuss say's it best,
"Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You.”
