Ice Castles - Midway, Utah

By Tiffany Detweiler - Tuesday, January 31, 2017

We ventured out in the cold (Freezing cold) to experience the Ice Castles in Midway, Utah! What a treat it was! We decided to go on a Monday to avoid the busy weekend crowds but that meant we would be visiting while it was dark. The pro about going at night is seeing the ice all lit up with tons of different colors the con is having extreme low light and almost no moon (at least that was the case for us)! I think we still managed to get some good shots despite the low light and we all enjoyed exploring the ice caverns and mazes!

These two were so excited to start exploring that when I insisted they stop running around and let me take a picture these were the best smiles I was going to get!
I got good smiles from these guys though!
You could warm yourself by the fire pit and they were serving hot cocoa! Plus if you were like us and layered up it was easy to stay warm.

Walking into some of the caves were most impressive when you looked skyward!

I tried putting the little Dude in the backpack carrier but he really wanted to walk around and explore!

Some of the spaces were just big enough for the kids to crawl through, I didn't feel the need to even try!

We highly recommend making a trip, this attraction does not disappoint!
