Its always chaos the week before Christmas and then the week between Christmas and New Years Eve seems like a stand still! My kids have been happily playing with their new presents and James and I have enjoyed life settling down long enough for us to go see the new Chronicles of Narnia Movie and catch up on our favorite TV shows like Psych and Fringe! I keep reminding myself to enjoy this momentary peace and quite and to take pleasure in being able to sit and watch cartoons with my munchkins. I know once the New Year hits I'll start to get busy again with work and life will start to return to normal! With all my down time you would think I'd have blogged more, oh well here are more images from my cross country adventure I only snapped a few images of Oklahoma as it was getting dark when we passed through.

The rest of these are of the sunrise just outside of Staunton, Virgina. Seriously the most scenic part of our adventure! I had James drive so I could snap these images from the car! Enjoy!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I hope you are enjoying time with family and friends! My kids had us up at 6:30am which feels like 3:30am since I'm still on West Coast time! Paper was shredded and boxes were pulverized, which led to an unholy amount of time trying to get the toys out of ALL the crazy toy packaging! Its been an AMAZING day and wonderful memories were created! Here is a glimpse into my Christmas morning, and the two hot items with my munchkins were the Learning 3D Viewers from Grandma and Grandpa and the Bikes from Nana and Papa!

My brother Ty got this awesome plushie that is Gandalf from Lord of the Rings! I love it and now must own one myself!

I asked Kaylee for a smile and this is what I got! Oh well, some mornings there are just more important things going on and stopping and smiling for moms camera is not one of them!

Happy Christmas Eve Friends! I've had a whirlwind 2 weeks but life is good and I'm spending the holidays with my family so I'm especially happy! getting online has proven trickier then I originally expected but here are some images I snapped with my iPhone over the last week!

Friday afternoon Reno got dumped on with snow, all morning I kept looking out the window thinking “seriously!?” James and I were hitting the road early Saturday morning and here was a winter storm leaving inches of snow on the ground! Thankfully James had decided to head south and drive down through Las Vegas, NV instead of heading north on I-80 so the snow really wouldn’t be a problem for us once we left northern Nevada.

Saturday morning we got up early (5am, yuck!) but we didn’t actually make it out the door and on the road till 6:50am, so we started the day an hour behind schedule but we were in good spirits so the delay wasn’t really a big deal! The drive through Nevada is not what I would call scenic but we did have an impressive amount of fog which did make the rural Nevada towns seem creepy and ghostly! I also have to preface these images with...I'm using my hubby's computer and he doesn't have Photoshop! So, these images are not what they could be but I wanted to start sharing what I've seen along this crazy whirlwind adventure!
